CARE Lab Priorities

The CARE Lab’s core priorities are designed to advance reproductive justice and drive meaningful change. These priorities guide our work, ensuring that our efforts remain community-centered, action-driven, and rooted in justice.

  • Provide resources to educate communities about the impact of racism on reproductive health, and tools for healing and advocacy.

  • Support the development of research projects centered on voices and experiences of Black and Indigenous communities that are disproportionately affected by adverse reproductive outcomes.

  • Serve as a resource hub for information on reproductive and birth justice, structural inequities, and anti-racist research practices.

  • Foster partnerships between community members, learners, institutional partners, and medical providers to co-create solutions to address maternal and reproductive health disparities.

  • Influence policy and practice by advocating for systemic change led by research findings and pushing for structural reforms in healthcare and academic institutions.
