The CARE Lab’s core priorities are designed to advance reproductive justice and drive meaningful change. These priorities guide our work, ensuring that our efforts remain community-centered, action-driven, and rooted in justice.
Provide resources to educate communities about the impact of racism on reproductive health, and tools for healing and advocacy.
Support the development of research projects centered on voices and experiences of Black and Indigenous communities that are disproportionately affected by adverse reproductive outcomes.
Serve as a resource hub for information on reproductive and birth justice, structural inequities, and anti-racist research practices.
Foster partnerships between community members, learners, institutional partners, and medical providers to co-create solutions to address maternal and reproductive health disparities.
Influence policy and practice by advocating for systemic change led by research findings and pushing for structural reforms in healthcare and academic institutions.
